Back to our routine.

We are getting back into the swing of things at home after finally catching our breath. It has been two weeks of non-stoppery but you know who's cute as a button and was a trooper through the whole thing?
Emma. I guess us parents did pretty well too, getting everything together and pulling off two consecutive trips away from home that were each one week plus a weekend on Long Island. We adults can handle that; we can plan and put up with and suffer through what we need to, knowing what awaits us but babies will let you know if they do not approve of their present situation. And Emma hardly had a bad thing to say about our hectic vacation. :)

Emma slept on the flights to Canada after wearing herself out zooming around the airport, meeting travelers and trying to climb on their luggage. She brought a lot of cheer to others going through security and waiting to board planes.

I have a picture of me holding a sleeping Emma from most of the flights we have taken. She's a travel champ. Also, our flights were lined up perfectly in her schedule and she was happy to take her snoozes at the usual times.

The first two nights we stayed at Babcia's, the second day we had dinner at Szymanski's where Emma played in the fountains, danced and charmed everyone. They we moved to Uncle Johnny's. Also completed this visit was a trip to the Leg' and Osborne village, dinner with my mom's side at the Forks, visit with Grandma Shirley, we went to Assiniboine park with my dad and to Kildonan with Dad and Brett, visited Dziadzio Frank, and Stopped by Aunti Jodi's where Emma and Patrick went for a swim. There was a lot of perogie between all these highlights.

On our way home.

We spent Saturday night and Sunday at home trying to catch our breath before heading to the city to apartment sit for a friend of Patrick's family but that is for another entry.

Expect new things.

We are presently in Winnipeg visiting family. It has been a full visit but it's nearing its end, but there is a new beginning in our future... A new host for our journaling. Patrick has informed me that the quality of the photos on this blog is terrible and while I wasn't thrilled with the quality of the photos I didn't realize how bad it was since I only ever post and check our blog from my phone. No more of that! I think the blogging platform app blogger offers is absolute rubbish anyway (are you listening, blogger? RUBBISH.) We're going to be setting up this same blog elsewhere and have higher quality images to show of Emma's beautiful adventures.

9 teeth and counting! (Now, a little sleep, please?!)

This post is to welcome Emma's seventh, eighth, and ninth teeth to poke through her gums. A special mention to her first molar. Thanks for joining us and we hope you enjoy your stay!

Friday to Sunday in pictures

We got rained out at the zoo on Friday but not before seeing the juvenile tigers right next to the glass!

Too big a backpack for this baby

After the drive upstate

A walk Saturday morning
.. Followed by a great nap!
Then a fair where we met 4H show goats, pigs, sheep, cows, and poultry!

Emma pulled this decorative chair off the shelf and tried to sit in it. It's just a little too small, Emma.

Emma loving the spiral slide with Patrick

We went to Muscoot Farm for their farmers market but stayed for the animals!

Hey, Mr. Cluck!

Quack Quack Quack Quack!

Water table time

The weather was hot and Emma kept cool at the water table that Patrick built for her.

I tried to get her attention for a picture and this was it. She told me to stop distracting her and let her work.

That was refreshing!
